A. THREE TIER STRUCTURE OF EDUCATION
We have three tier structure of education, the first tier beng the junior college division upon clearing which student may opt for post-graduation in our institute, or he may go in for post-graduation management courses available in our Moonje Institute for Management Studies.

Terms:

The academic session extending normally from 15th June to 15th April is divided in two terms by a mid year (Diwali) vacation as per notification of the University of Pune.

To keep a term the student must...

Undergo medical check up.
Attend the college regularly.
Appear in the Term end exam conducted by college failing which he shall be suitably dealt with.
Carryout satisfactorily the prescribed course of Military Training / NCC / NSS unless exempted on Medical grounds with written permission from Principal.
Complete the prescribed course of study, practicals, tests, visits, project reports etc. to the satisfaction of the principal.

Library:

The college has a well equipped library and the collection of books is regularly updated. Apart from this, a good number of books are available for students appearing for competitive examinations. Each bonafide student possessing his/her own identity card avails library facility. Special facilities will be extended to students appearing for competitive examination.

Concessions and Scholarships:

The students can apply for various concessions or scholarships, as per respective eligibility rules immediately after their admission to the college, such as:

EBC concession.
PTW concession.
OBC scholarship.
F.F scholarship.
Girl’s freeship.
Dr. N.A Purandare memorial vidnyan scholarship is available for fifty students of science faculty; the amount for each student is being equal to the tuition fees for the year.
Vinod Nair memorial scholarship worth Rs. 5000/-is available to boarder student of third year of graduation.

Refund of Deposits:

Deposits of all nature will be refundable, only to the person concerned after the final clearance and issue of leaving certificate of the college. Refund of any deposit can be claimed within three years of obtaining T.C. Beyond that limit the deposit shall stand forfeited.
Refund of fees paid will be subjected to the rules prescribed by University circular no. 252/1993, which states that from the first date of academic session the refund will be:
90% of the tution fees within seven days
75% of the tution within fifteen days (Note :Junior College - No Fees will be refunded)
Deposit of all nature will be refundable, only to the person concerned after the final clearance and issue of leaving certificate of the college.

Senior College :

The University of Pune has introduced a new system of examination from academic year 1994-1995. Under this scheme the examination of 100 marks is held at the end of the academic year. Throughout the year home assignment program will be executed subject wise. Junior College : During XIth class, the examination in each paper is of maximum 300 marks, having distribution as follows:

100 marks for examination at the end of First Term.

100 Marks for Annual Examination.

100 Marks for Unit Test and Tutorials conducted during the Academic Year.

Minimum 105 marks are required to pass in particular subject.

There is no provision of supplementary examination.
During XII th class, the unit test and tutorials will be conducted throughout the year however the corresponding performance is not considered for the declaration of the final result. The Annual examination is conducted by the M.S. Board of Education
